During these unprecedented times, Update continues to provide regular audio content for those visually impaired and those who cannot read written text for those in Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire.
Content is available on-line via our website, Sound cloud by searching for Update – Stoke on Trent and via the talking newspaper app by searching for wireless for the blind in the form of a podcast.
Update also delivers its content via the USB pouch service that operates every 2 to 3 weeks. The next one was meant to be sent out on the 17th of November but due to the current lockdown and volunteer availability this will be now delayed to around the 29th of November or a day or two after.
The next edition will follow around the 15th of December 2020.
A podcast version will be available online around the 19th of November and then after each USB pouch service.
It’s been a tough year filled with lots of challenges and uncertainty and we appreciate the support of our membership and the coronavirus community support fund.
As we approach the winter months we will endeavour to provide regular content including our popular Christmas editions.
